Hmm

It's funny how your perspective can change once you really look into something.

I Never Told You!

I bet you guys are all hanging off your chairs and wondering what happened at my eyebrow appointment awhile ago!

I mean, maybe not, but I'll still tell you.

In the past, I've dressed like a hobo to my appointments at my local salon.

And mind you that this salon is top notch. It's fancy shmancy.

And I've noticed that the people working there seem to only give water to the nice dressed people in the waiting room!

Can you believe the indecency!

Anywho, I decided to actually look nice this time to see if they would get me a refreshment.

Drum roll please!

They did!

Ha! I received a water in a glass and a straw, may I add.

So I think that I proved my point.

What was my point again?

Oh yeah.

To dress nice when you get your eyebrows done if you want to get a free glass of water...

Hmm.

Yeah, that's a great life lesson.

Progress

When moving forward,

there's going to be the good days and the bad days.

But with the bad days, we shouldn't just sulk around and give up!

We should take it as an opportunity to conquer the struggle that we are in so that we become stronger in the long run.

I know you can do it.

So get to it!

And Remember,

"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."

Your Choice

In order to conquer your fears, your struggles, your obstacles, you have to make a choice.

Do you really want to overcome them, or are you possibly too lazy to try harder?

I deal with this every day, but thank God it's getting easier.

It WILL be worth it in the end.

But it is your choice whether or not you want to conquer your struggles and temptations.

Of course it'll be hard! BUT that shouldn't stop you from pushing harder and striving to reach your goal day by day.

Keep going, and don't lose heart.

That Awkward Moment...

...when you have a crush on a character in a book and then switching back to reality, remembering that he's not real.

Yeah.

That's never happened to me...

Let's face it people,

I need a life!

OR

just a perfect guy like in that book I read.

Is that too much to ask for?

I guess for now I'll be content with books and oreos.

But that might eventually get old...

Who am I kidding?!

Oreos will always be there for me.

Well, You Know...

...when you're about to crack a mean joke to your friend- or sibling- or pet hamster (who knows), MAYBE,

you should stop and think to yourself, "Hmm.. maybe I should actually say something encouraging instead."

The point of this is that people shouldn't be discouraging to others. Either as a joke or if you're seriously being mean.

Of course everyone, including myself, makes fun of our friends as a joke.

But there is such a thing as moderation.

When you continue to put people down, it can hurt them, even if it was a joke.

Why is it that we think making fun of people is funny?

Why don't we instead build each other up? Or even just ask them how their day was?

Is it that hard?

Nope.

Anyways,

Try encouraging someone.

Because everyone is going through something in their lives whether you see it or not.

So be kind,

and encourage.

Well Well Well

First of all, if you read my blog continually, I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while and thank you for reading.

SO

This post was going to be about my depressing day,

BUT

it actually got better.

I was all ready, with my hoodie on, my ice cream eaten, and my sad music playing.

But I ended up texting my friend, and we were being funny, so I was laughing a lot.

And then, my brother made me play basketball with him, and it turned into some good bonding time.

Plus, I learned how not to shoot from my chest!

So technically I'm a pro.

But, all joking aside,

We all have to realize that everybody has bad days.

Nobody's perfect.

Just because you got a bad grade on one test (totally unrelated to me) or you got frustrated with yourself for not doing your best,

JUST CHILL.

Cause the sky isn't falling.

...unless your chicken little.

And tomorrow, don't just hope for a better day, but

MAKE it a better day.

Now go get 'em tiger.
