Draft found from Feb 2022 :)

 Well well well,

Here we are again.

I honestly always surprise myself at how long it takes me to come back to this blog, but I am so grateful to my past self for doing this, because I’ve found that my past self almost always helps my present self.

SO much has happened that I dont know if I can fit it all in a post, but I’ll try to tell you the highlights.

Let’s see… the last time I wrote a post, I was about to go to a youth conference for the first time, and this time- I am writing on the plane coming home from my third (and probably last) conference.

In terms of “finding someone special”, these conferences are disappointing.

BUT in terms of making friends, it definitely is nice.

I think I sometimes forget to look back at the good parts of my life experiences, so at times I have to force myself to do so, which ultimately reminds me of positive things that happened. For example:

I spent time with one of my besties (G).

I met a bunch of nice people honestly and heard some of their life stories.

I went to Chicago- I love going places.

I stood up for my faith in small ways.

I felt pretty most of the time- didn’t love my outfit the last night0 but is that really important? Lol no- I did look SUPER cute the other nights lol

I met a couple cute guys- nothing that seemed to stick, but it was nice to have an interaction nonetheless.

Overall, it was a nice trip. :)

I really want and need to work on being present though- sometimes I find myself in a fog as if I’m dreaming and it scares me- but when I say the Jesus Prayer. It helps. <3

Let me try to give you an overview of the past two years- yikes lol

2020-

Started my internship0 was scary but cool

Covid happened

Was furloughed and stayed home for 4 months

Went back for overnight shift but didnt feel safe, because of the looting of the malls

Took a leave of absence and started working as extra help at Tata’s office in July 2020

Got laid off from the hotel in September (fair enough)

Had surgery in October because of a ruptured appendix and didn’t realize until after a while that I could have easily died- Thank God I was okay-

That honestly taught me a lot, I think of it sometimes when I feel weak and I feel strengthened knowing that I got thorough it- I have a small dent on my nose from a tube after the surgery, and at first I was worried about it, but I’m glad I have it, because it reminds me to be courageous.

Let’s see-

I went to Montenegro with Tata and met my cousins and friends I still keep in contact with <3 (especially D)

That trip helped me gain more confidence in myself.

Fast forward to my birthday weekend in March where Mihaila, Nina and I went to San Fran- it was so fun- we rented a red corvette haha and I cracked my tooth LOL which was fixed eventually.

DUDE- pause.

My life is so cool and fun.

I should never complain lol

Anyways- my 25th birthday party was also really fun- it was at Nina and mine apartment that we both loveeeeee (Oh yeah, we got a nice apartment in August and still have it)

Went to Mexico with the Popovici and fam in May and almost hung out with some hotties LOL key word almost.

OH MY FRIEND AND I RECONCILED and we’re so close again- but I appreciate our time apart even though it was painful- being apart helped me to grow more into myself and while we lean on each other, I feel like my life is more my own than hers for sure compared to before. She supports me.

My family is a mess but I truly love them- when my siblings were bothering me lol my dad said to me the other day something along the lines of- yes, you guys have arguments- but you guys would die for each other at the end of the day- thinking about that truly helps me to remember that our little arguments are a but silly-

Hmm what’s next-

Oh yeah.

I stopped talking with a family friend that was a big advisor in my life and while I miss them much, I am also so proud of myself for finally believing that I could actually survive without them and their advice, and that’s pretty big.

I find myself still searching for someone to lean on and to answer my questions, but I do have wonderful family and friends that help me- and I also need to build my relationship with Christ which I KNOW will help me gain peace and stability in my soul.

ANYWAY-

July 2021- Serbia and Montengro :)

Flew there all by myself- I was so proud (of course God also kept me safe) that trip I really got out of my confort zone

Had my first hand hold lol

Gave my injtagem to a konobar lol

Went on a raft with 20 of my cousins friends and my cousin wasn’t there- which is big for me lol

Etc

Hmm

Oh yeah- I became front desk supervisor at the office back in January 2021- and this past November 1st-

I became office manager.

Don’t ask me how it happened- idk either lol

I had multiple reasons for why I wanted to be office manager:

I wanted to help my family with our family business

I wanted to prove to people that I was/am capable

I wanted to prove to myself that I was/am capable

OH YEAH

I also started a masters degree for international management in January 2021 dang flabbit and will hopefully be graduating in August if all goes well.

I’m in stats now and I hate it lol but whatever happens, happens- it’s always worked out with God’s help, so it’ll be alright.

Okayyyy

Back to being manager-

It’s hard dude.

Ups and downs

I’m proud of myself though.

It’ll be four months in a week and a half- and while I feel like there are so many things that I want to fix/update and learn, I should be proud of how far I’ve come- the biggest thing I have to work on is time management (surprise surprise)- I need to learn how to delegate, use my own time wisely, and also work on being kind, but firm.

It’s a work in progress to say the least.

OH YEAH HA

I went back to Serbia and Montenegro with Nina in January 2022- met up with one of my best friends Irina - which I met in July- God put her in my life I just know it- I feel like I’ve known her for years and I’m just myself around her <3 She rocks.

I actually had a super cool convo when I hung out with that konobar from the past- because long story short my sister’s talking with his friend.

I wonder what update I’ll have on that next time I write lol but they’re cute together (not official though)

Some friend updates:

Salome had her second baby

Aleks might have gotten a boyfriend this weekend lol

Mihaila will probably be engaged with Aco this year- they truly are good for each other

Liks had a bf but she’s growing from the breakup

While there are definitely some bad things happening in the world right now,

All I can do is try my best, focus on today, trust in God- and keep moving forward.

I told Nina my “New Years resolution” would be to have a healthier mind, soul and body and I stand by that- hopefully I will gain more confidence overall and also create a more stable foundation for my day, more structure and more of taking care of myself- don’t forget to take care of yourself-

Honestly, I’ve been sad lately, but whenever I focus on others more, I feel relief and peace- I’;m gonna try to do that more.

If I’m reading this next year- I hope that future Natasha is more joyful, closer to Christ, more confident and stronger as a person.

There has been a LOT of growing pains the past two years, but a lot of growth too.

Be kind to yourself.

That’s what I want to do.

By this time next year- I hope that I’m a lot more kind to myself.

Remember, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Don’t be discouraged- keep moving forward step by step, but remember that your’re doing pretty well- keep your head up.

Love you,

Tash

WELL THIS HAS BEEN QUITE A YEAR LOL

I am so glad that I have this blog so that I can write my feelings, thoughts, and progress in life.

I just read my last post and a lot has changed since then-

I started the Marriott internship program beginning of February and, even though there were some struggles and definitely getting out of my comfort zone, I had a great experience.

I felt as though I got there on my own and I felt so proud of myself (in a healthy way) that I did it with my own effort- but of course, with the help of many people.

I met a bunch of new people- co-workers and guests alike- and I was beginning to actually feel like an adult, a leader. It felt good that people relied on me and asked me for help when they needed help.

I tried my best honestly and I don't think I would've done anything much different at all.

I did get furloughed end of March because of Covid, but most people were.

In March, I spent time helping my family move from our beloved home to a rental house in hopes of finding a new home that was a bit smaller.

It was so sad leaving that house, but the house that we eventually found is really nice and has a beautiful lake view. Maza loves to hang out there and watches the ducks in confusion often (my dog hasn't seen that many ducks in her lifetime).

Anywho- starting in March, I was living in the rental house for a few months which honestly feels like a blur/fever dream lol

There was a 5pm curfew and the only thing Sasha and I did was go for our daily Starbucks run, which was the best part of the day-

I also exercised almost every day but I also ate like a whole box of napolitanke in one day at the same time lol but I have to give myself some grace, because it's been a rough year.

Anyways- flash forward to the middle of May I think? Where my boss asked me to come back to work but for overnight shifts.

I said yes of course, but I wasn't excited about overnights.

Overall, I'm glad that I tried it, but I only did it for a few weeks- it wasn't for me.

I honestly didn't feel that safe, plus I never knew when to eat or sleep- it wasn't a good look.

SO I took a leave of absence for the moment.

And I started working at my dad's office- front desk.

There were a lot of similarities because both jobs boiled down to customer service.

Sometimes I hate customers service, but sometimes I really like it- no job is perfect.

I felt like I liked my dad's office better actually than the hotel job, because at the office, I "had" to develop relationships with the patients compared to with guests in which you usually don't see them ever again.

I liked being able to establish relationships with the patients, and I also liked the feeling of being able to help people, even if it's in an indirect way. Being the middle man can be a very important job.

Anways, while being at the front desk is nice, I didn't want to be at the front desk the rest of my life- I wanted to do something more with my life.

Sooo my dad and I talked and we both decided that I should train to become assistant manager for the office- I'm still in the process of becoming the assistant manager, but the point is that it is going to happen, and I am excited (a little scared), but excited nevertheless.

ALSO, I felt as though most of my friends had gotten or are in the process of getting their masters' degrees. Now I do not think that that is a good enough reason to also so a masters degree, but I think having friends that are striving in their lives can be inspiring- plus I did want more of an education, because I felt like I didn't learn as much as I wanted to in undergrad due to the classes I had.

A big reason why I wanted to do a master's program was that I wanted to have a goal- I felt like after I finished school and after my hotel internship fell through, I didn't have much of a goal in life, so I felt like I was floating a little bit.

SOOO I got in to the program called "Masters in Applied Leadership & Management" through the Thunderbird School of Global Leadership.

I really like seeing things in a global perspective and that is exactly what this program is going to show me, which is really exciting.

Hmmmm what else has happened.

Oh yeah lol.

I got an emergency surgery to remove my appendix-

It went well thank God- I was in the hospital for 5 days and had a tube in my stomach and a tube up my nose, I can remember the feeling of the tube that was up my nose and down my throat really well lol

ANYWAY- every time I had to get up when I felt weak, I said under my breath-

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

And I got up.
Every time.

I also had some problems with insurance which was very stressful BUT-

the point is that God was there with me and helped me get through somehow.

He is always there for me.

Having these scares this past year has been hard but has also taught me that I need God in my life in order to live- I need JESUS- and He is there for me even when I mess up.

Lord help me to always be close to you and to be guided by you. Help me to always trust you and to pick the right decisions and do the right thing even when it's uncomfortable or unpleasant, and help me to do those things with a positive attitude and to do it for Christ sincerely in my heart.

One of the best parts of this year actually is being in Montenegro visiting my family.

I've had to go extremely out of my comfort zone, but by doing so, I opened up a window to a new world.
While I don't think that everything in this "new world" is good, I think that there are some good things, and I'm glad that I pushed myself.

Reminder: Be kind to yourself. Even if not everyone likes you (even if it's for no reason at all), don't worry about it. You have so many people that love you already, the most important is GOD. Keep going and don't sweat it. There is no good in trying to be the person that you think people will like- it's better and more enjoyable if you're just yourself and the people that truly love you will always be there for you.

This year especially, I have felt confusion as to how to live my life-

I don't really know what to think honestly-

There has been talk that it heading towards the end of the world (which gives me much stress)-

If it's the end of the world, then why should I bother striving in my life?

Is it then wrong for me to want to live my life anyways and live my life to the fullest?

I'm pretty young still so I have so many dreams and aspirations that I want to happen.

But is that wrong of me to think that way?

I should focus on spiritual life more and focus on Christ and focus on my soul, because Heaven is where true life is.

But I don't think it's wrong to want to have hope for things on earth, such as getting married to a wonderful, Orthodox Christian young man- or even traveling to new places and trying new things.

But I also feel like it's wrong to "be ignorant" about what is happening in the world now.

Lord give me clarity and guidance as to what to do and give me the strength and the courage to do it.

I don't know what's going to happen this coming year, but as long as I try my best to be the best Orthodox Christian I can be and trust in God, then I think it'll be okay- with God's help.

I know this post is super long and random, but that's kinda how this year has been lol Not everything is bad though, some things are good :)

Lord give us strength, courage and faith. Strengthen our faith in YOU and strengthen our confidence in ourselves to accomplish what you need from us for OUR salvation. AMEN.

Until next time, <3 :)

Long Time No...

...blog! LOLZ

Well hello there!!!

Long time no blog!

There is honestly so much that has happened this year- idk if I can even spit it all out lol

Let's see-- the last time I blogged was when I was in my last semester of college- that was when I didn't know if I was going to pass my stupid finance class.

Well look-y here! I got a B- so BEAT THAT.

I mean, you would beat that with an A, but that is NOT the point.

I am very proud of myself lol

ANYWHO-

I don't usually put personal information on this blog, but honestly, I think it's fine.

SO- I graduated college this past May. :O COLLEGE. I. FINISHED. COLLEGE.

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?

Still hard to believe honestly. CRAY CRAY.

Well- 'tis December right now and it's still hard to believe.

I want to go back to March 2019 and remember that I was so worried about getting a job right after I graduated. SO worried. But with the right research and connections- I got a jobbbbb! :) In the beginning of July!

AND- literally in September 2018- I got this email about a specific internship that looked really interesting, but a few minutes after I got that email, it said it was sent to me by mistake lol which it technically was (and I knew that), but I honestly think that God let it happen on purpose.

The internship really interested me, and I always kept it in the back of my mind.

(I know I'm all over the place- but what else is new? And who cares cause- this is my space to write lol)

LETTUCE continue:

I ended up getting a job for a nice company and that same internship I read about a year ago was part of that company- on top of that, the managers there brought up that I should apply for the internship at my interview!!!

SO ANYWAYS-
fast forward----- I got the job (Thank God) and also applied for the internship.

I wasn't sure if I would like the internship or not- I was also a little scared to get the internship because of big responsibilities attached to it- but I did it anyway!

1st interview- done

2nd interview- passed

3rd interview- got em' :D

I was shoooook lol

I got the internship folks!! And it starts in February! I'm actually at a coffee shop right now trying to prepare for it!

9 months ago I had no idea what I would be doing for a job, where I would be working, and honestly thinking that it was too late for an internship- WELL HERE WE ARE FOLKS- working for a big company (although starting small- gotta start somewhere :D) and about to start an award-winning internship!!!

I actually prayed a lot about this internship- and I honestly think that God wants me to do it- to get out of my comfort zone and become a leader. :D

My prayer was something like: Jesus, if you want me to get this internship, let it happen- either way is fine with me.

I have to do that more often in my life- trusting God to choose the best path for me.

---------------------------------

Since we're still here- let me update ya'll on my life in general.

My sister and her boyfriend broke up.
One of my best friends isn't really my best friend anymore- but I think I'm okay with that. No hard feelings, but I think I focused more on her life than mine. I felt like she was the main character in a show and I was her side character friend lol

BUT I want to be the main character in my own life for PETE'S SAKE.

Let's see, what else happened this year lol

I met a lot of great people at work! :)

My brother finally got his license. lol Yay!!

Hmm what else-

OH I got my doubles pierced- I've always wanted to and I finally did it a few days ago lolol my mom's gonna be so mad- but it's okay, she'll get over it :P

I still haven't found my special someone yet- LOL but it's okay.

I feel like I have always struggled with that and connected it to my worth-

"Oh, you haven't had a boyfriend yet???" People are shooketh when I tell them.

But I hope to overcome that in the near future.

Also my friend Ivs- you know who you are hehe- has helped me with my self-love in regards to body image. I'm still working on it, but this one thing she sent me that was encouraging was that your "trouble areas" on your body do not define you as a whole. They aren't what make you you. It is your insides- your soul- your heart- that makes you.

Another thing that was mentioned in that article was to write down 10 things that you like about yourself- that aren't physical features. I feel like I put myself down a lot, but I really want to try and think good things about myself instead of focusing on the bad.

SO

Here are 10 things I like about myself eeeeeek:

1. I am kind to people
2. I believe in justice and standing up for people
3. I think I'm funny lol
4. I love to make people laugh
5. I love to make people feel comfortable, at home, and important
6. I am a hard worker
7. I try to please God in my life
8. I love that I can sing and play piano (even tho I haven't in a while)
-- I feel like I need to look up a list of "things you like about yourself" to inspire me lol
9. I am loyal
10. I am trustworthy
11. I am helpful
12. I am brave
13. I am courageous
14. I am hopeful
15. I am loving

2020 WILL BE THE YEAR THAT I LOVE MYSELF- I REALLY DO WANT TO LOVE MYSELF

One of my friends at work (B.) told me that I am a lion and a queen and then we came up with the term Lion Queens for each other.

I want to be a lion queen on the inside, and I want to be able to write a list of things that I like about myself without hesitation.

Please Jesus help me to love myself and to love you the most.

OH btw- I'm going to this youth conference in Chicago in February- maybe I'll meet someone there hehe

or at least have fun with Liki Liki (mi amiga) and listen to good, encouraging talks about Christianity.

If that's the "At least", then it sounds like a great time either way lol

I'm gonna try to post more often on here to kinda update myself on my progress.

DON'T FORGET-

JESUS LOVES YOUUUUUU

PS I'm reading this book my dad lent me called Win Every Battle by Michael L. Galiga. It's about "conquering fear and claiming victory for success in life". Sounds great so far!!

PSS If anyone is actually reading this- I hope that I somehow helped you somehow- I think the lesson here is to trust in God and to love Him- and then things will fall into place-

LOVE YOU~

"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." <3

Heyoooo

So, Hi again!

I am struggling. I know that I shouldn't be feeling sorry for myself, but I always feel better after I write on my blog, so here it goes. I don't know where to start.

God wants us to trust Him, but at the same time, we have to put in some of the work as well.

"God helps those who help themselves."

I love that quote. It inspires and encourages me.

At the same time, I regards to wanting a good, healthy relationship, how do I help myself?

First off, I should pray and work on my own insides, making my inner self beautiful.

But in regards to actually doing something in the social sense, I am a little bit discouraged.

Don't get me wrong.

This past year, I've met sooo many new people and have had a lot of great memories-

from working at a restaurant and also a retail store to being a camp counselor to going to youth group a lot more often, I've met a lot of people overall and had new experiences!

But the reason I feel discouraged sometimes is that, whenever I start something new, go somewhere, or just do something social, in the back of my mind-and sometimes in the front of my mind- I wonder, hmmmm maybe I'll meet my future husband today!

Which I think is fine, but it's almost too much BECAUSE a part of me always becomes discouraged when I go somewhere and I don't meet a potential Mr. Wonderful.

I have been trying to be more present lately, mostly because of this health and wellness class I took that was surprisingly helpful lol

But yeah, I want to be present in the sense that I do not want to dwell and despair about my past mistakes but I also don't want to constantly be worrying about the future.

There was a quote that I found on accident on Pinterest- best place ever- but it said "God is not going to forget to put the people in your life that are meant to be there". Wow.

We all need to trust God more, especially me.

And we can start by praying more deeply and just trusting Him more and more everyday.

He has and always will be there for us. Just trust Him.

C'mon. We got this.

askldjasdkl asflkj sdjn

Hi folks.

Idk.

I'm a little frustrated and discouraged.

AND since I believe that writing out your thoughts can help you feel better, here goes nothing.

I know this is stupid to think, but sometimes I think that I will never find the right person to be with.

I've watched a few really great Asian tv shows (call me crazy), but they've shown me what it looks like to truly love someone and in a pure, beautiful way.

I have this fear that it's too late for me or that it just won't happen.

I MEAN

Worst case scenario: I get an apartment by myself and get a couple of dogs.

Actually the actual worst case scenario would be to forever stay in my parent's house lol

But hopefully my worst case scenario will be the apartment dog thing.
Then I can have my own space to watch Hallmark movies whenever I want and have dogs to keep me company.

I meant, it doesn't sound that different from my situation right now. BUT hey

At least I'll have my own apartment one day!! woot WOOT

Anyway

hmmmmmmmmm

I don't want to feel sorry for myself, although I'm kinda in the mood lolol

I know I should trust God, pray for my future husband, and better myself in the meantime,
(which are all worthwhile things)

I don't know.

It's just really hard.

It is reallllllllylylyllyls hard to be single lately.

And I KNOW I would rather be single than to date someone that is a bozo,

but what about dating someone amazing?!

Like the guy in my Asian tv show lolol

But the thing is, that TV show (called "A Love So Beautiful") IS REALLY SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL.

The main characters grow up together and eventually fall in love.

IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL.

and HONESTLY

It doesn't seem to be that unattainable.

I mean it's just two people that enjoy each other's company and truly love each other.

Sounds nice.

I KNOW I shouldn't complain.
My life is pretty great.

But, man oh man.

IDK

I just hope that one day, I will look back at this blog post, laugh to myself, and say,

"Wow! I needed to just chillax! My special guy and I found each other real quick and what we have is WONDERFUL. HECK. IT'S EVEN BETTER THAN THE ASIAN TV SHOW "A LOVE SO BEAUTIFUL."

LOL

I am counting on that!!!!

And actually I feel better already.

REMEMBER GOD ME YOU SPECIAL AND HE LOVES YOU VERY MUCH. <3
LOVE YOU!!!!

Well Hello There!

Hi my peeps! I never say peeps, but I am feeling it today lol

ANYWAY.

I was FaceTiming my friend Theodora today, and somehow I brought up my blog.
I don't remember why, but I am glad that it happened!

It led me to read most of my past posts, and I just want to thank MYSELF for being so encouraging to MYSELF (and to others hopefully).

Looking back, I was so encouraging. I was 16 years old, and possibly more confident than I am now!

I think that looking at my old posts reminded me of who I want to be.

I still want to be a strong Christian young woman that is proud to be my silly self, but lately I have been super lazy.

I really need to pray more on a deeper level.

AND

I need to be SINCERE in my spiritual life.

THE THING IS...

God doesn't expect perfection from us, but he wants us to try in life. SO TRY.

C'mon Observant Girl! You got this!

"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." :) <3

ANYWAY

There are so many new things are going on in my life that I feel I should tell you about.

I am HOPEFULLY graduating from college in May 2019 woot WOOT.

With a Business Tourism major!

Sometimes I do regret not choosing music, art, or design, but at the same time, I can really picture myself working in the hospitality industry God-willing!!

I still play piano here and there, but I really need to get back on that train (or whatever that phrase is). I haven't painted in a while BUT I am planning on buying some stuff from Michael's le tomorrow.
lol

I tried to throw a French spin on that, but it didn't work... or did it muahaha :D

(I took a semester of French last year. Barely remember anything.)

Oh! I am in Finance300 this semester and it is a REALLY HARD CLASS

BUT

I WILL PASS IT IF IT IS THE LAST THING I DO.

HOPEFULLY, it won't be the last thing I do God-forbid, but yeah. I am determined to pass.

Hmm...
What else should I tell you about. :)

WELLLLLL

I will be 23 in a month, which SCARES ME... a bit.

I've been struggling lately with trying to figure out how to act.

You know.

As an almost 23-year-old.

BUT What I have to remember is that being silly is great!

And that being silly is just a part of my personality. SO if you don't like that then you can just leave I guess lol

This post is so scrambled...just like the eggs that I am craving at the moment. HA I am SO funny.

I am stressed still and worry too much. But does that ever help? NO. So

STOP WORRYING SISTA

ENJOY LIFE.

LIFE IS SO SO GOOD.

GOD IS GOOD.

GOD IS LOVE.

APPRECIATE THINGS MORE. APPRECIATE PEOPLE MORE. APPRECIATE GOD A LOT MORE. APPRECIATE YOURSELF MORE. ooh that's a good one. BUT SERIOUSLY.

I HAVE BEEN WRITING IN CAPS SO MUCH BUT IT FEEL GOOD YAS.

Oh

Also,

I have been struggling with my image lately. I gained a few pounds and got some pimples LOL.

But I have to realize and remember that I am a CHILD OF GOD. And,

I am beautiful, because I was made in the image of God.

SO if you reading this, KEEP GOING

NOBODY IS PERFECT.

PERHAPS exercise and eat healthier too hahaha

but honestly,

just chill. You is doin fineee.

You're doing great. :)

BUT DON'T EVER FORGET ABOUT Jesus Christ WHO LOVES YOU AND DIED FOR YOU.

I don't want to ever leave my Christian faith, but sometimes I am lazy and do not always feel Christ in my heart. But I will put more effort into my spiritual life and try to love Jesus with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.

This might be the most scattered and longest post I've ever written. BUT

I love this blog, and I am really proud of myself for writing so well in the past and keep the blog up in general.

SO if anything, I just want to keep writing here, hopefully encouraging you to keep moving forward, and hopefully encouraging myself as well.

Remember: God made you special and he loves you very much. :) <3
