New Year's Eve

Every year for New Year's Eve at my house is a party! Haha Now that's a good joke! Tonight will be consisting of my dad on his computer, my mom sleeping, and my brother and I watching TV. You're really missing out! I probably shouldn't be complaining though. Anyways, is it only me, or does it still feel like October?!? Yeah, it's just me, isn't it? On the bright side, I'm going to make brownies soon! Yummm... That will most definitely make this evening more exciting. 

Handshakes

You've probably realized the different types of handshakes. There are three main categories:

1) There's the "squeeze your hand until you die of suffocation" handshake.

2) There is the normal handshake where you squeeze firmly but gently. Very professional.

3) Then there's the wimpy handshake where you feel like you'll break their hand if you touch it at all. That could get awkward fast.

You Can Say...

...something a certain way and it could mean totally different things. For example, the question: You are with her? Changing up the emphasis now:

1. YOU are with her? (clearly you aren't the favorite choice)

2. You ARE with her? (surprised at the situation)

3. You are WITH her? (surprised at the outcome of the situation)

4. You are with HER? (clearly your choice of the person is surprising)

Do you see what I mean? All different meanings with the  same  words.  Pretty cool actually.

Apparently

I have a talent for recognizing people. I was watching an old show with a woman in it, and realized that it was the same woman years later from a more recent show. I even proved it! My sister got a little creeped out, but I love finding out stuff like that.

Skittles

Yes. I am writing a post about skittles. So anyways, doesn't everyone hate the yellow and green skittles?? But you still try them anyways.."Maybe it'll taste better than last time!" *tries it* "Eww! Never again!" They taste like chemicals used to clean gas station bathrooms...bleh.. But, you can't forget about the red skittles. Mmm..It's like a party consisting of artificial fruit flavor in my mouth! This is the good life, my friends.

When...

You see or hear something shocking, your jaw drops, and you can't seem to shut it. Or when you laugh so hard you can't stop smiling.

It's Amazing...

How one person can effect the people around him/her. I went to a fast food place the other day with my two friends and noticed how nice this lady was at the counter. She was very caring and just happy. Then we sat down and while I was thinking about how nice and rare that was, one of my friends was like, "She's so nice!" And my other friend said, "That's what I was about to say!" We were  all thinking about how nice she was, and just because of her positive attitude, she influenced people around her. I find that so amazing.

Best Buy

Well, I was waiting in the car for my dad who said, "I'll be in and out!" five hours ago, and since I don't have a life,  I figured that I should observe the people going into the store. You'd be surprised at the kind of people that go into an electronics store. There was a man in a mariachi costume...enough said...There were, of course, the normal people...gotta have some of those. Then there was this guy who didn't really have good taste in clothes. He was wearing skinny jeans, a graphic t-shirt, and the funny thing, a green tie. It totally clashed with his outfit! What? If he puts on that tie, the outfit turns into his "fancy" outfit? I don't know, you had to see it yourself...It looked worse in person. Sadly, the rest of the people dressed pretty normal..

If You Ever

feel like your the awkward one in the group, or the klutz, just remember me and think, "Well, at least I'm not as awkward as her!" But all joking aside, us awkward people should just embrace our klutziness and realize that that's what makes you, you. And that's not a bad thing at all.

I can't believe...

that I missed acknowledging that yesterday was 12/12/12! I mean, it's not like I would've done anything to "celebrate", but still. Now I'll have to wait until 12/12/3012....but we all know I won't live that long. So much for "looking at everyday things". For Pete's sake, I don't even remember dates.

7th Grade Girls

I never realized how annoying middle school girls are. Well I did, but I didn't think it was this bad. I was at my brother's basketball game and two of them were sitting behind me. Here's a sample of their conversation. Read it in a high, fast voice:
Girl #1: "Like, how many people were there?"
Girl #2: "A lot of kids."
Girl #1: Like how many though?? Classroom big or middleschool big??"
Girl #2: Like middleschool big. It's really big."
Girl #1: Wow, bigger than middle school?? Oh my gosh! Wait. I'm so confused right now! What's happening in the game?? Oh my gosh!"
Me: "It's the freakin' third quarter girl! Get your head in the game!"
No. I didn't actually say that to her...but I should've. Was I this annoying in 7th grade?? I sure hope not...but I really don't think so.

Not that good of a person, but I'm trying to be better...and in that way, I think I am a good person..does that make sense? By trying to be better, you already are a better person than you were before.

My Exciting Trip to The....

Grocery Store!! Woohoo! Yeah...Sorry. I haven't been out much. Anyways, I was at the grocery store because my sibling and I persuaded my mom to get us some Gatorade. In one of the aisles we were passing through, there was a thirteen year old boy. Or should I say gangster? Baggy clothes and big, shiny earrings. Whatcha doin' in here, little boy? Looking for your gang buddies? They're in aisle 4. So afterward, my brother and  I scoped the place for Gatorade. While we were scoping, I glanced at a woman passing me, and I did a double take-KATE MIDDLETON. What are you doing here?!? Was it her, or was it her long-lost twin who, apparently, is still lost? That discovery was almost as exciting as when we found our long-awaited Gatorade.

Laughter

Laughing makes a day so  much better. If you ever feel down in the dumps or blue, laughing can help make your day. Even just a little chuckle or giggle can make you feel better. AND if you see someone sad, try cheering them up or even just talk to them. I know this sounds really cheesy, but it'll really help.

Fro-Yo With Friends

I know, it's November, but we wanted to get frozen yogurt. Anyways, we decided to eat outside. Strangely enough, there was hillbilly music playing in November...not sure why.Then again, I'm not sure why anyone would play hillbilly music in the first place...So we're talking and sitting and becoming fat from all the frozen yogurt when my sister's like, "What the heck?" She was facing the street. (We were in a plaza.) A large group of tweens came out of the karate building and started practicing karate outside. What? Are they going to practice attacking innocent bystanders?? They're coming! Hurry! Get in the car!! Drive!! Just kidding...I just wanted to add a little excitement to your life. That was mine for the week.

Wedding Time!

So I decided to observe at a wedding I went to. There's a really pretty castle feel at the venue. I noticed a lot of high heels. Actually I gulped hard when I saw a woman's 5 inch heels. You either flaunt it or you look like your about to fall on your face..I've seen both. Go flats! haha I had my own name card! It made me feel special...:P Rockin the accordian music! Me: "Hey! Why did that table get their food first?!?" Sister: "That's the head table..." Me: What's your point?" Haha no, I'm not that conceited.  Uh-Oh! Here comes an old family-creeper. 60ish, tall guy, blue, button-down shirt, navy tie, gray hair...creeper written all over him. Why did my mom wave back?? Can she not tell he's a creeper?!? Anyways, is the bride allergic to salt?? Sorry, kinda mean, but true.. I had to put a few shovels of salt on my plate.. Does this meal consist of chicken or a whole chihuahua?? It's so big!

Deep Post

Have you ever felt happy yet disappointed at the same time? Like half and half...sad and happy about something. Because that's how I'm feeling now. Happy about the subject...disappointed about the overall situation?? I don't even know what I'm sayingg...ughh..I feel like there's something that I will never be able to grasp, mostly because something else is pulling me away and taking it for itself...hmmm... I think writing this is making me more depressed..eww...why am I feeling like this?? Just be happy and everything will be okay. :) Okay, I already feel better..nice self-pep talk...haha

Chinese Restaurant

First reaction. WOW. It's like a mixture of a young adult Chinese pop sensation atmosphere. Like somebody could just start dancing and it would be normal...haha...loud music, red lights, Chinese lanterns, Chinese decor, Chinese people...haha no there aren't just Chinese people. "What's that number by the sushi?" "That's the price." *Man faints* Just kidding..it's definitely not that bad :P Identity crisis! Are you a restaurant or a club?? No worries, I didn't come here to go clubbing..or did I? Muahahaa.. Another vibe I'm getting: I'm twenty-one and I know it OR I'm not twenty-one and I'm trying to forget that fact.. I wonder how it would look with all the lights on. I knocked over the "caution wet floor" sign. Rich girl looks at me like, "Wow. You're a freak."....okay..

Serbian Slavas

Okay! So I'm at a serbian slava which is like a names day for the whole family. Why do all the desserts taste like walnuts? "It's the Serbian dessert game show!! What is this dessert made up of?" "Hmm ... Walnuts?" "Correct!" " Now what about this one??" "Walnuts." "Corrrrect! How bout this one?" "Let me guess.. Walnuts.." "Well are you are smart guy!!" Okay, next. There are a bunch of old people here. Not a very lively group...I just imagined my friends and I sixty years from now all old and gray sitting around like this...not a pretty sight,let me tell ya! I sure hope we'll be more lively than this...but who knows! Lets all remember this day and look to the future as something brighter.. Haha not to be mean to old people or anything.

Inside a Beauty Salon

So I'm at a beauty salon waiting for someone and it's super fancy. All the customers look like they're going to a fashion show.Those people got asked if they wanted any "refreshments"...(say it in a snobby voice). Why is there a fifty year old guy that could pass as a hobo go to this place? He got asked if he wanted a refreshment!They didn't ask me! Maybe it was because I looked like a hobo?? Front Desk Lady.. Real Perky? Fake Perky? Can't tell.oh here comes the hobo! Not me, the other guy..
